Summer In The City - Back And Better Than Ever

Summer in the City celebrates the great place we live, work and play by spreading the word about what's going on in GROTON CITY this summer

Music, movies, art, lectures, history, festivals, tours, fun for kids & families … celebrations large and small of all kinds are included on SITC website listings at www.summerinthecitygroton.com and in promotions across print, radio and internet media. A Facebook page, summerinthecityofgroton, will feature ongoing entertainment updates. “Last year we had over 100 events register with SITC, and I hope to have even more this summer,” reported Program Coordinator Susan Bailey. “We invite and encourage organizers to register their City of Groton summer events, activities and classes with Summer in the City and take advantage of FREE promotions through the SITC program.

Summer in the City is seeking sponsorship support for the program and for larger planned events. “We have many celebrations planned for this year, and they are a great way for businesses to show their support for the community while increasing their exposure in Groton City,” said Susan Bailey, SITC Program Coordinator. Sponsorship packages are available at a variety of levels and return many sponsor benefits. All donations are gratefully accepted.

Summer in the City 2015 will also participate in the State of Connecticut’s Coast Guard Summer, designated by Governor Malloy to honor the 225th anniversary of the Coast Guard Service and the 100th anniversary of the Academy in Southeastern CT. The statewide celebration will bring thousands to Southeastern CT and many planned SITC summer events will include Coast Guard components
