Two Groton Victims Stabbed in Fight Over Towel

A fight over a towel escalated into a police matter after two victims were stabbed.

GROTON, CT – An argument over a towel Thursday escalated into a police matter after two victims were stabbed as a result of the argument, The Day reported.

Evy Castillo, 27, faces a number of charges as a result of the incident, including assault and risk of injury to a minor, The Day reported. Police had been called to the situation after reports of a woman yelling at children outside with a possible knife in her hand.

Police said the argument had started over a towel, and ended with Castillo trying to stab two victims who suffered superficial wounds to their back and hands, The Day reported. The suspect had also thrown bottles at one of the cars, and threatened officers and their families.
