Upcoming Open Houses In Groton

GROTON, CT — Groton's open houses this weekend run from three affordable manufactured homes on leased land to a 1782 house rebuilt from the frame up on the Thames River. In between are two renovated Colonials a few minutes from downtown Mystic, a Winding Hollow condo and a cul-de-sac Cape with a river glimpse and an in-law building.

Eight Groton homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, with prices from $99,000 to $775,000, according to Zillow.com.

Saturday, Oct. 31

59 Noank Ledyard Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $580,000. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial has a Mystic mailing address and has been renovated, with hardwood floors, an all-new kitchen with quartz counters and a gas range, a flex room and a primary suite with a tiled walk-in shower. There's a new two-zone HVAC system, an attached garage and a stamped-concrete patio backing onto woods and a brook. Zillow lists 1,705 square feet; the price was cut $20,000 on Oct. 23.

43 Whitney Road, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $599,000. This four-bedroom, two-bath Colonial sits at the end of a cul-de-sac on about 1.45 wooded acres a few minutes from downtown Mystic. Its great room has cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, built-in bookcases and a wood stove, and the kitchen has new quartz counters. Space above the two-car garage could become a bedroom suite or studio. It has 2,384 square feet, and the price was cut $16,000 on Oct. 26.

Two manufactured homes on leased land at 1042 Poquonnock Road are open Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Both listings say the community allows owner-occupants only, with no rentals, that sales are subject to park approval and that only emotional support animals are allowed.

1042 Poquonnock Road, Lot 1, 2 to 4 p.m., $114,000. This two-bedroom, two-bath mobile home has an eat-in kitchen with stainless appliances, a new furnace and roof and fresh paint, and it's sold with all personal property. The monthly land lease is $575 and covers water, sewer, road maintenance and snow removal. It has 984 square feet.

1042 Poquonnock Road, Lot 3, 2 to 4 p.m., $99,000. This two-bedroom, one-bath mobile home has been fully remodeled, with a new kitchen with quartz counters, a bath with a walk-in shower and new windows, subfloors, electrical, plumbing and insulation. The listing gives the monthly land lease as $550. It has 672 square feet.

108 Thames Street, 2 to 4 p.m., $775,000. This four-bedroom, 3.5-bath home dates to 1782 and has been rebuilt from the ground up with all-new framing, according to the listing, with Thames River views from nearly every vantage point and soaring ceilings. The listing says buyers can still customize the final finishes. Zillow lists 3,024 square feet.

Sunday, Nov. 1

4 Burgeville Court, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., $299,000. This three-bedroom, one-bath Cape is holding a block showing, with highest and best offers due Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., according to the listing. It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac with a glimpse of the Thames River from an upstairs bedroom, a first-floor bedroom and a kitchen island. A separate in-law building is being renovated; the listing says buyers should verify permitted use with the town. The main house is rented to month-to-month tenants. It has 874 square feet.

39 D Street, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $125,000. This two-bedroom, one-bath manufactured home has a kitchen with granite counters and 4-year-old appliances, a living room with raised ceilings and a tip-out, central air and a covered porch.
