GROTON CITY, CT — While live-streaming himself traveling at speeds of more than 100 MPH, a driver crashed into a metal beam guardrail but, as state police noted, was not hurt given he was wearing a seat belt.

On Saturday Dec. 28, state police from Troop E responded to the car accident on Interstate 95 North at exit 85 in Groton City.

Police wrote that "it was later learned the operator was live streaming himself prior to impacting a metal beam guardrail on the left shoulder of the off ramp. The operator was traveling at speeds over 100 mph. Thankfully, the operator was wearing a seatbelt and not injured. Speeding and live streaming is extremely dangerous and also illegal."
