Press Release 11th SHORELINE JEWISH FESTIVAL ON GUILFORD GREEN

Guilford, CT--The 11th annual Shoreline Jewish Festival will take place Sunday, July 10 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the Guilford Green. The festival features various styles of Jewish music, traditional and Israeli fair food (all kosher), an art and book sale, and children’s crafts and activities.

“Jewish tradition calls this a year of hakhel (gathering),” explains Rabbi Yossi Yaffe, director of Chabad of the Shoreline and coordinator of the event “In ancient Israel during the year following a sabbatical year, all the Jewish people would travel to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem to recommit and reconnect to G-d and to their heritage. Last year was a sabbatical year, and so this year has been a time to gather and strengthen the bonds of unity and commitment. And the Shoreline Jewish Festival is a wonderful, joyous way to explore Judaism and Jewish culture.”

This year’s musical lineup features Rogers Park, Simply Tsfat, and Chillent.
