2nd Public Meeting Scheduled On Guilford Plan Of Conservation And Development

GUILFORD, CT — Guilford residents, business owners, and visitors are invited to attend the second public meeting and workshop for the development of an update to the town’s Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD)

The workshop is scheudled for June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Guilford Fire House.

The POCD will serve as the town’s guiding document for land use and conservation over the next 10 years.

Information on the POCD update process can be found on Guilford Planning and Zoning web page.

Users should select "Town of Guilford: PoCD 2025 - 2035 Draft" to open a new window featuring a story map that explains the planning process and provides information as it becomes available.

An online survey is also available in the Story Map.

Overall, according to the town, four in-person workshops are planned for the POCD planning process.

The first two workshops (May 22 and June 28) aim to introduce the POCD to attendees and gather information regarding priorities, concerns, and opportunities for the town.

The second set of workshops will be held toward the latter half of the planning process and will present the potential vision, guiding principles, and goals, the town said.
