400 Signatures Collected in Guilford in Support of Food Truck: Report

Town leaders say the issue is a state one and none they can control.

Guilford, CT - More than 400 signatures were compiled out of concern that the town's proposed changes to the Peddling and Zoning Ordinance would hurt Taqueria Cinco, a food truck in town, the Guilford Courier reports.

The popular truck was forced to change locations on the Green, and many thought it was the town's doing, but in reality it was the state Department of Transportation that mandated the location change, the Guilford Courier reports.

Proposed changes to the town ordinance wouldn't directly impact the food truck's location and officials told petitioners that no updates have been approved to the Peddling and Zoning Ordinance and therefore the petition was not actionable at this time.
