Acoustic Jazz Brunch Begins Sunday in Guilford

Live acoustic jazz and a prix fixe brunch will be adding some color to the Guilford Green beginning Sunday, July 27th. That’s when Colors Cafe, located at 2 Water Street, will begin offering a Jazz Brunch Buffet featuring live acoustic music and a buffet-style prix fixe brunch.

Colors Cafe, owned and operated by Guilford native Greg Munroe, opened its doors in May and have been eager to present an event like this for the people of Guilford since before that time.

“From the get go, we’ve thought of this as a place where people can gather, relax and enjoy each other’s company. What better way to do this than with an acoustic jazz brunch,” said Colors Cafe owner Greg Munroe. “And the guys we have playing for our first few weekends are amazing.”

The acoustic jazz at Colors Cafe will be performed by The Artist Award Duo, a pair of local veteran jazz guitarists well schooled in The Great American Songbook.

While listening to The Artist Award Duo, patrons can avail themselves of a brunch buffet offering with some classic brunch fare (Belgian Waffles, Scrambled Eggs, fresh fruit) as well as some special dishes whipped up by The Mad Gourmet chef Andrea Dante: Apple Cinnamon French Toast Bake, Salmon Salad Nicoise and Toasted Almond Quinoa, to name a few. Adults will also be served a complimentary Bloody Mary or Mimosa. The $31.95 prix fixe brunch also includes coffee, tea and fresh juices.
