“Jen has already made an incredible impact on Women & Family Life Center through her leadership, dedication, and genuine commitment to our mission and community,” said Lynn M. Pinder, Chair of the Board of Directors. “We are thrilled to officially welcome her as Executive Director and excited for all that her vision and collaborative approach will continue to bring.”

Under Fournier’s leadership, W&FLC continues to expand programs rooted in empowerment, connection, and opportunity. One example is EmpowHer: Girls in STEM, a hands-on program introducing girls to STEM careers through interactive learning and mentorship. The program quickly reached capacity, reflecting strong community interest and future growth potential.

W&FLC has also strengthened support through its Guided Assistance Program (G.A.P.), connecting individuals and families to resources, guidance, and community support both within the organization and across the broader community.

“Women & Family Life Center has always been deeply rooted in community,” said Jen Fournier. “I’m guided by the example Shirley Girioni set and continues to set, staying responsive to what people need and creating spaces where they feel supported, connected, and able to move forward.”

“Jen’s leadership has brought a renewed sense of possibility to W&FLC,” said Melissa George, Director of Programs. “Her commitment to collaboration and community partnership has created meaningful opportunities for connection and growth, while fostering a supportive and energized team environment.”

Through its programs, partnerships, and personalized support, W&FLC continues to build pathways for women and families across the Connecticut shoreline to find connection, guidance, and empowerment through life’s transitions.
