GUILFORD, CT — Guilford and the South Central Regional Council of Governments are seeking public input as part of a Route 1 corridor study focused on future land use and transportation improvements along the corridor.
The study is intended to develop conceptual alternatives for land use and right-of-way improvements and will use a multi-modal, context-sensitive planning approach aimed at improving safety and mobility, supporting economic development and addressing housing needs.
Residents and visitors are invited to attend a public workshop scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Nathanael B. Greene Community Center, 32 Church St.
Community members are also encouraged to complete a survey and visit the project webpage to provide feedback on existing conditions and future opportunities along the Route 1 corridor.
