GUILFORD, CT — The Guilford Board of Finance on Tuesday voted to reduce the proposed municipal budget by an additional $700,000.
The board voted to cut $525,000 from the Board of Education budget and $175,000 from the town side.
The Board of Selectmen is expected to make its cuts at its regular meeting scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on June 1. The Board of Education will also meet on Monday to make its cuts.
A Town Budget Meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Guilford High School auditorium on June 9.
A third referendum vote is set for June 16 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all polling locations.
