Guilford To Celebrate 'America 250' With Several Events

GUILFORD, CT — The Town of Guilford is set to celebrate America's 250th anniversary with several patriotic-themed events over the coming months.

Here's a rundown of events, according to the town calendar:

Saturday, July 4

Ringing of bells by Town Green churches - 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 5

Guilford Celebrates America 250 Concert - The event is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the Green. More information will be released at a later date.

Saturday, July 11

Town fireworks at the Guilford Fairgrounds - Gates will open at 6 p.m. Live music from the Shaded Soul Band will start at 7:30 p.m. There is a rain date of July 12.

Saturday, Sept. 12

God & Country Music Festival - Scheduled to start at 3 p.m. on Green. More information to come.

Saturday, Sept. 19

Guilford Fair Parade - The annual parade is set to begin at 10 a.m. This year's Guilford Fair is scheduled to run from Sept. 18-20.
