Annual Guilford Budget Meeting Set For April 1

GUILFORD, CT — The annual Guilford budget meeting will take place on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. at Guilford High School.

On March 6, the Board of Finance approved a $122,554,319 budget for 2025-2026. Finance board members cut the Board of Education budget by $650,000, and the town budget by $275,000.

With state and local revenues along with a relatively flat grand list, the budget would result in a proposed mill rate increase of 1.15 mills, up to 27.73, or a 4.32 percent increase, according to the town.

The Budget Referendum is April 8, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all polling locations in Guilford.
