Asst. Town Engineer Ciacciarella Receives Employee Recognition Award

GUILFORD, CT —Assistant Town Engineer Michael Ciacciarella has been named as a recipient of the Guilford Employee Recognition Award, First Selectman Matt Hoey announced this week.

Hoey, who initiated this program, has encouraged all employees to nominate fellow employees to be recognized for outstanding achievement and performance in their work.

The Employee Recognition Awards Committee selected Ciacciarella, who was nominated by Town Engineer Janice Plaziak.

Plaziak nominated Ciacciarella for taking on and seeking new projects without hesitation and producing great results.

Plaziak said that the Quinnipiac University graduate is “professional, inquisitive, and productive.” She went on to say that he has successfully designed a number of projects and brought them to regulatory commissions for approval. Janice was most pleased with his work on the design,
construction, and implementation of the new fueling station and closure of the old system at the town’s Public Works Department.

"The town is fortunate to have Michael in the Engineering Department," she said.

Ciacciarella has been the Assistant Town Engineer for nearly two years.

He received an Employee Recognition Award certificate, as well as a gift card from Hoey, in recognition of his achievements.
