Health & Fitness

Attention Weekend Warriors!! (Or just sufferers of annoying chronic aches and pains...)

Now that the summer weather has finally arrived, are you becoming more active? Have you been trying new activities, or simply resuming your old ones that have maybe been on the back burner for the long winter?  As a result, are you dealing with annoying aches and pains, such as tendonitis, sciatica, vague muscle aches, or random joint pains? If so, I would love to introduce you to dry needle trigger point therapy.

This technique is very unique and very effective.  I have personally used it to rid myself of chronic IT band syndrome when I used to run marathons. My husband had a grade I separated shoulder that was causing constant pain that this therapy was able to fix.  In practice, I have used dry needle trigger point therapy to help numerous patients with shoulder pain from over use, weight lifting, and cross fit; some of these patients have been told they needed surgery because of arthritis and now they are pain free with complete range of motion.  I have also used it for sciatica like symptoms- when patients come in complaining of a pain down the back of their leg, perhaps causing knee pain, is rather debilitating, and interfering with their activities. Everyday I am more and more amazed at how effective this treatment is!
