Bittner Park Playground Grand Opening Set For Tuesday In Guilford
On Tuesday, the first 60 children at the playground will receive a "playground passport" for fun challenges and prizes.
GUILFORD, CT — The grand opening for the brand-new Bittner Park playground is set for Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The new playground, which is themed as "Twist & Turn," was paid for using American Rescue Plan Act funds. Including the price for old equipment removal, the cost is $406,000. The old equipment will be sent to Guatemala.
According to a post from Guilford Parks & Recreation, a ribbon-cutting celebration with town officials was scheduled for Monday afternoon.
