Brian Beach Promoted to Regional Manager of Verizon Wireless-Wireless Zone

Brian Beach, a twenty year wireless technology veteran, was recently promoted to Regional Manager for eleven Wireless Zone franchises. Locally owned and family operated, the Verizon Wireless Premium Retailers in Eastern CT are fortunate to have Brian Beach at the helm. Beach will support the individual store locations and help increase their profitability, develop internal and external relationships and encourage team growth.

Beach worked at Tweeter, and successfully managed the mobile department selling audio equipment and mobile devices for vehicles. As the stores sales trainer, he developed an outstanding team and became the 2nd store in the company to break a million dollars in mobile sales nationwide. After six years of service, Beach left Tweeter to pursue a career at Best Buy.

He was a key component in Waterford Best Buy’s grand opening, starting with the mobile department in 2003. Beach and his team won various national awards, called ‘Mobile Achiever Awards’, for outstanding sales and customer service performance. He was recognized as the top manager of the mobile department and was soon promoted to Sales Manager for the entire store. Best Buy in Waterford soon became the #1 store in the CT-NY district.

An opportunity was offered to Brian after six years of service at Best Buy. Although he had been successful within the corporate structure, Beach wanted to pursue growth in small business. He left Best Buy and accepted a sales representative position at Verizon Wireless- Wireless Zone in Groton. Within a short six months, he was promoted to store manager.

Under his management, the Wireless Zone franchise in Groton has been one of the top ten stores nationwide for five consecutive years. In 2011, he became an equity partner in Wireless Zone of Brattleboro, Vermont and again as an equity partner in the Hamden location in 2014. “Brian just has the ‘it’ factor. Customers adore him. His employees respect him. And as a franchise owner, I couldn’t pick someone better to lead the Wireless Zone team,” says Neil Ryan.

Beach’s goal has always been to become a multi-store owner within the company and grow those respective locations annually. His promotion to Regional Manager in January of 2015 will allow him to eventually fulfill this dream. “I look forward to utilizing my experience to grow and develop the store teams to allow us to all reach our professional goals.”
