Busy Intersection In Guilford To Get New Stop Sign

The new four-way stop in Guilford aims to reduce traffic collisions and improve line-of-sight.

GUILFORD, CT – Guilford Police Department said the Little Meadow Road and Stepstone Hill intersection will be going from a three-way stop to a four-way stop on Monday, April 17.

The new stop sign will be on Stepstone Hill Road.

Guildford Police said turning the intersection from a three-way stop into a four-way stop was due to increased traffic collisions, near traffic collisions and line-of-sight complaints.

A large variable message sign will alert drivers about the new stop sign and an increased presence in the area for the next few weeks while everyone adjusts to the traffic pattern.
