Gather your friends and grab your lawn chairs, shut the front door, and meet us on porches throughout downtown Guilford for Guilford Porchfest 2025, our second-annual all-volunteer community-building celebration featuring performances by 50+ singers and musicians who live or work in Guilford, hosted by 30+ private residents and public organizations throughout downtown Guilford. Rain date Sun, 9/7. Performances take place from noon to 5 pm. This event is FREE and open to the public. The Spring Splash is brought to you the Madison Jaycees, a 70-year-old, volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to improve the lives of those who live along the central CT shoreline. &nbsp;Over the past 10 years, we have donated over half a million dollars to families and local charities in need. &nbsp;The Jaycees also award annual College Scholarships to deserving graduates of Daniel Hand and Guilford High Schools.

Friends of the Guilford Free Library&nbsp;Spring Book Sale Friday, May 8, 9am to 5pm Saturday, May 9, 9am to 4pmAnother season, another reason to support the Friends of the Guilford Free Library’s annual Spring Book Sale!
The sale offers gently used hardcover and paperback fiction and nonfiction for adults and children, as well as books on art, cooking, gardening and more. Also, mass market paperbacks, DVDs, CDs and jigsaw puzzles. Everything is in excellent condition and offered at unbeatable prices. 
The sale will take place on the front patio and in the Meeting Room, rain or shine.
All proceeds from the sale go to support the Library—to buy books; sponsor programs for children, teens, and adults; purchase equipment, software, and hardware; and to provide funds for staff development. 
***And if you’re doing any Spring Cleaning, please consider donating used books in saleable condition to the Friends’ fundraising efforts. There is a conveniently placed table for donations at the Library’s parking-lot entrance.
The Library is located at 67 Park Street across from the Guilford Green.
