Christ Episcopal Church Launches First “Bubble Church” Children’s Worship Service in the U.S.
A new monthly worship experience invites young children and their families to explore faith through play, music, stories, and community.
Christ Episcopal Church on the Guilford Green is excited to introduce Bubble Church, an innovative, family-centered worship experience designed especially for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers. Beginning Sunday, September 13, 2026, Bubble Church will gather on the second Sunday of every month at 9:00 a.m.
Developed at Ascension Church in Balham, London, Bubble Church has quickly spread across the United Kingdom as a welcoming and engaging way for young families to experience church together. Christ Episcopal Church is the first church in the United States to offer this innovative, child-centered worship.
Bubble Church is a 30-minute, interactive service filled with songs, storytelling, movement, puppets, prayer, and hands-on activities that introduce young children to God's love in a joyful, age-appropriate way. Each family sits and stands on their own “bubble” (a carpet circle) on the floor. Families are invited to stay come early for refreshments and conversation prior to the 9:00 a.m. service.

Bubble Church is free and open to everyone - whether families attend church regularly or are simply curious to explore.
