Calvin Leete Students Raise Hundreds For 'Homeless Animals'
Let children lead the way, the song goes. Kids at Leete school are off to a great altruistic start - despite the challenges they've faced.
GUILFORD, CT — Despite facing their own challenges, students at Calvin Leete Elementary School raised hundreds of dollars for the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford.
"We want to give a great big shout out to the children at Calvin Leete School in Guilford! They collected $417 to help the homeless animals at our animal shelter," the Facebook post reads.
"We are so proud of these students and so many other students from other schools as well for remembering us and thinking of all of the animals that are in need."
