Changes Coming to Hours of Operation at Guilford Dump

The new hours were implemented to address issues with the current hours of operation.

The Town of Guilford is making changes to the hours and days of operation to the transfer station at the Guilford Dump located on Boston Post Road, Jack Kramer reports from The Source.

According to the Source, the changes were unanimously approved by the Guilford Board of Selectmen to address several issues created by the current hours of operation. Guilford Town Engineer and Director of Public Works, James Portley told the paper the current schedule forces the town to pay employees unnecessary overtime hours and doesn’t provide an adequate lunch break.

The transfer station will now operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A half-hour lunch break will be budgeted into these hours for the employees.
