College Transition Zoom Workshop For Juniors, Seniors, Parents
Among the topics at the May 26 meeting are acknowledging the consequences of COVID-19 on seniors and what college may look like in the fall.
GUILFORD, CT — A College Transition Workshop for high school juniors and seniors and their parents will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
Among the topics are acknowledging consequences of COVID -19 on seniors, celebrating milestones, planning for what college may look like in the fall, key points for mental health, expectations and perceptions, emotional adjustments, social adjustments, independent life skills, enhancing resilience, communication planning, a 'check in at home: Coping in a COVID-19 world,' and college transition free summer series for students.

This program is in collaboration with Guilford Youth & Family Services and the Jordan Porco Foundation.
The mission of the Jordan Porco Foundation is to prevent suicide, promote mental health and create a message of hope for young adults. The mission is in the name and spirit of Jordan Matthew Porco who died by suicide in 2011.
