Come To Guilford's 1st POCD Community Workshop

The Plan of Conservation and Development serves as a guiding document for land use and conservation.

GUILFORD, CT — Residents, business owners and visitors of Guilford are invited to the first public meeting and workshop on developing the town's Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD).

The POCD serves as a guiding document for land use and conservation. The state requires each municipality to prepare or amend and adopt a POCD at least once every 10 years.

The first workshop is scheduled for May 22 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Community Center.

Overall, four in-person workshops are planned. The first two will be designed to introduce the POCD to attendees, gather information regarding priorities, concerns and opportunities for the town, according to an announcement.

Remaining workshops will be held toward the latter half of the planning process and will include the potential vision, guiding principles and goals.
