Connex' Coins-for-Change Raises Money For Muscular Dystrophy
Each year, more than $14,000 is donated through the Coins-for-Change program. New charities are selected every quarter.

GUILFORD, CT — Connex Credit Union recently donated $800 to the Connecticut Chapter of the Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD) Society in support of the organization’s mission to advance treatments and a cure to end the pain, disability and suffering endured by one million people affected by this disease.
These funds were raised through Coins-for-Change, Connex’s philanthropic program that donates 100 percent of the fees collected at its coin-cashing machines to charitable organizations.
“The FSHD Society is committed to ensuring no patient ever has to face this disease alone,” member Shawn Welch said. “With this generous donation from Connex and its members, the FSHD Society will be able to continually work toward accelerating treatments for all patients."
