Contributions from visitors at Connex Credit Union’s Guilford Branch during the first quarter of 2016 have helped make a significant impact for one local community group. As a part of its philanthropic program ConnexCares, Connex Credit Union recently donated more than $600, from the fees collected by Connex’s coin-cashing machine at their Guilford branch, to the SARAH Foundation. The Coins-for-Change program charges a five percent fee to members, a seven percent fee to non-members and donates the fees collected to charitable organizations in the local community, contributing more than $10,000 annually.

“The SARAH Foundation is extremely grateful to Connex Credit Union for supporting us in our mission of, ‘making independence possible’ for people of differing abilities,” said Yetta Augur, development officer, the SARAH Foundation.
