GUILFORD, CT — Guilford Police Chief Butch Hyatt said the crash that shut down part of Route 77 Tuesday was a "vehicle versus barn accident." The driver and "lone occupant" of the car was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with serious injuries, Hyatt said.

Both Guilford police and firefighters responded to the rollover crash around 3:30 p.m. in the area of 5000 Durham Road.
