Downed Tree And Wires Cleared, Road Reopened: Police

GUILFORD, CT — Route 80 between Twin Bridge and Little Meadow Road reopened Monday night after a lengthy closure due to a downed tree and wires, according to police.

Police announced the reopening at 10 p.m. Monday.

Guilford police on Monday announced Route 80 is closed between Twin Bridge (Madison town line) to Little Meadow Road due to a tree with wires down.

Eversource has provided an estimated time of four to eight hours for repairs and road clearing, police said.

Police said they will provide updates when the road is clear.
