"In 2024, as we gather on the town green to honor the environmental legacy and spirit of that first Earth Day, we are facing another daunting environmental crisis: human-caused global warming," an announcement on the town website says.

"This year, on April 21, adults and children alike will have a variety of opportunities to share with one another, and with the many conservation-oriented groups in our community, about our conservation, mitigation, and adaptation efforts in this time of climate crisis. We will celebrate that we are not alone in our determination to make a difference."

There is a rain date of April 28.
