ERACE extends its Diploma Program Classes to Non-Residents
Adult Education Provider ERACE Wins Competitive Federal Grant for its National External Diploma Program (NEDP)

(BRANFORD, CT) - The East Shore Region Adult Continuing Education (ERACE) has won a competitive federal grant to extend its National External Diploma Program (NEDP) classes to all Connecticut residents ages 17 years and older. Until now, all high school diploma programs were only open to residents of Branford, Clinton, Guilford, or North Branford, who are all members of the regional collaborative that forms ERACE.
“Thanks to these new funds, we are now able to help more adults achieve their educational goals. A high school diploma opens the door to greater professional opportunities,” Program Facilitator Christine Bjork said. “It means a better life, not only for themselves, but for their families as well.”
Students enrolled in NEDP work one-on-one with an instructor, learning content relevant to their everyday lives. The program is ideal for working adults due to its flexible hours and emphasis on at-home studying. Upon successful completion, students graduate with a nationally recognized high school diploma.
NEDP slots for non-residents are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information, visit ERACE online at erace-adulted.org or call (203) 488-5693.
