The movie Hope Springs was filmed in scenic downtown Guilford using the Guilford Food Center and Breakwater Books in scenes with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones!
We want to celebrate the premiere of that movie and our beautiful town by having a Hope Springs Premiere wine and cheese party and everyone is invited. At the party, we will be raising funds for the Historic Guilford Walking Tours, an initiative of the Guilford Preservation Alliance that has brought over 170 folks to downtown Guilford to take the walking tours.
We will have drawings for over 40 donated items from our local merchants and restaurants. The winners will be selected at 7:15 at the Madison Art Cinemas showing of the movie on its opening night. Tickets for the movie can be purchased at www.madisonartcinemas.com.
