First Anchor Store Announced for Guilford Commons

The Fresh Market continues to grow its chain of specialty grocery stores and has signed a lease for a new location in Guilford, according to DDR Corp., which is the owner and developer of the Guilford Commons shopping center.

The store, expected to open in late 2015, will be located in the Guilford Commons, a new retail project being developed near the intersection of I-95 and Boston Post Road. Once opened, it will be the company’s third store in the state.

“We are pleased to welcome The Fresh Market to Guilford Commons as we expand our relationship with this specialty grocer that offers consumers a fresh concept in grocery shopping,” said Matt Schuler, DDR director of communications. “We look forward to providing updates on additional Guilford Commons tenants as leases become finalized.”
