New High-Speed Internet Option Expands In Guilford

GUILFORD, CT — GoNetspeed announced Tuesday that its first customers in Guilford are now connected to the company’s fiber-optic network.

Through a combined $4 million investment in Guilford and Madison, the internet provider said it is bringing speeds of up to 6 gigabits to more than 4,200 homes and businesses across the two communities.

Construction is progressing in Guilford and Madison, an announcement from GoNetspeed said. Residents and businesses interested in the company’s symmetrical, high-speed fiber internet can visit GoNetspeed’s website to sign up.

"Connecting Guilford to our network means more Connecticut residents can experience the difference GoNetspeed’s 100% fiber internet makes," said GoNetspeed Chief Operating Officer Tom Perrone in a news release. "With our first customers officially online, we’re excited to bring fast, reliable connectivity to even more homes and businesses throughout Guilford, backed by a network built to meet the community’s needs today and into the future."

GoNetspeed serves more than 40 Connecticut communities, including Ansonia, Bridgeport, Danbury, East Haven, Hartford, Madison, New Haven and Guilford.

The company also recently invested $4.2 million to expand its fiber network to Derby and Shelton.

GoNetspeed said it is expanding its fiber networks across 11 states, including Connecticut.
