A preview is being offered to residents and contractors during the month of April. Residents will be able to apply and familiarize themselves with the new system by visiting the Town of Guilford website or by clicking here.

To utilize the Civic Access Portal system, users will need to register and create a user account. This is a one-time action and users will have the option to choose a unique username and password. It is important to designate a single email address during this process as it will be used for all communication regarding application status updates, invoices, and process information. A confirmation email will be sent immediately after registration, which must be confirmed by clicking on the provided link.

The training period is only for familiarization purposes, the town said. When the system officially goes live, users will need to create a new one-time login.

To apply for permits using the Civic Access Portal system, log in with your chosen username and password and click on "Apply" in the top black ribbon. Use the search bar to find the specific permit application you are applying for and follow each page until you reach "submit."

In addition to online training, in-person training sessions will also be provided at Town Hall South, 50 Boston St., for those who prefer hands-on learning. Training sessions are planned for April 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

"The Town of Guilford is committed to providing efficient services to its residents, contractors and businesses. The new Civic Access Portal system is a step towards achieving that goal," the town said in an announcement.
