According to the National Weather Service, a blizzard warning is in effect from Jan. 26, 1 p.m. until Jan. 28, 12 a.m. A coastal flood watch is in effect from Jan. 27 3 a.m. until 7 a.m. All unnecessary travel is discouraged beginning this afternoon.
While 1-3 inches of snow is expected to accumulate during the day, the heavy snow along with strong winds is expected to start tonight. The NWS is predicting an additional possible accumulation of 9-13 inches of snow tonight.
