Guilford Cares Needs Volunteers To Help Shop For Seniors

The ask: Shop once a week, or bi-weekly, for elderly and immuno-compromised people.

GUILFORD, CT —It's been a year since the global pandemic changed the way we live. For far too many elderly, at-risk people, it's been a challenge to shop for groceries and household necessities.

Volunteers, in groups and agencies, and privately, helped out.

But the town posted to Facebook Wednesday that there is still a great need for volunteer grocery shoppers, folks able to help by shopping locally once a week, or biweekly, for elderly residents and immuno-compromised people between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
