Guilford Community Picnic, Fireworks This Weekend

GUILFORD, CT — The Parks and Recreation Department’s Community Picnic will be held Saturday, July 7 on the Green from 4:00-7;00 PM. The event features the 100 piece Town Band under the direction of Mark Gahm beginning at 5:00 PM. There will be inflatables and a climbing wall for the kids, as well as a petting zoo.

At the Fairgrounds, there will be more inflatables beginning at 7:15. Leaf Jumpers, a local band playing hits from the 1990’s and beyond will perform beginning at 7;15 PM. Food vendors will sell hot dogs, pizza, Mexican food and ice cream.

The spectacular fireworks show from Atlas Pryovision will begin at approximately 9:20 PM. People are encouraged to arrive before 8;30 PM. The fee for parking is $5.
