Guilford Company Once Again Printing Up Super Bowl T-Shirts

Zuse Inc. employees will be printing thousands of Patriot - or Eagles - Super Bowl championship shirts after the game ends on Sunday night.

GUILFORD, CT - As they have for the last couple Super Bowls a small factory in Guilford will once again this year be printing up thousands of championship t-shirts for New England Patriot or Philadelphia Eagle fans to proudly display after this Sunday's game is over.

Zuse Inc. is one of a bunch of regional t-shirt printers tasked with producing officially licensed Super Bowl champion t-shirts.

In an interview on Monday afternoon, Ted Zuse, the owner of the company, said his firm "is beginning to gear up" for the big job.

"We have designs on the press, getting packaging materials ready, monograms, stuff like that," Zuse said.

But the real work begins after the game this Sunday night.

"Once the game ends, we will be printing 1,000 to 1,200 shirts an hour," Zuse said. He added that there will be 16-18 people, on different shifts, "through next Wednesday or Thursday" printing out the thousands of shirts and other Super Bowl swag that will distributed all over the East Coast.

Zuse explained the one big difference between this year’s game and last year’s is that both teams playing are East Coast teams - and that’s where the shirts Zuse print up will be delivered. So, whether the Patriots - or Eagles - win, it will mean business for the company.

Last year, when the Patriots faced the Atlanta Falcons, there was much more at stake for the company - since the Falcons are a Southern fan-based team.

As Patriots fans - and Zuse workers recall - it didnt’ look good for a long time last year, as the Falcons carried a huge lead late into the game before an incredible comeback by Tom Brady and the Patriots brought another Super Bowl to New England and lots of business to Zuse.
