Guilford Cops Know How To Throw A Party: National Night Out 2022

GUILFORD, CT —Join Guilford police for National Night Out 2022 on the Green Tuesday from 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. If it rains, same place, same time, next day, Wednesday, Aug. 3.

Slated to be an "amazing night packed with music, games, festivities and prizes," last year's event drew thousands.

The free event includes free pizza provided by Naples Restaurant & Pizza, Guilford pizza truck, and many vendors. The event gives folks, and kids in particular, a chance to meet Guilford police officers, and challenge them to a potato sack race, a hula-hoop contest and an egg toss. Giveaways and prizes include gift cards and t-shirts.

National Night Out is an annual event that promotes community-police partnerships and camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It enhances relationships between law enforcement and community members, and provides a great opportunity to bring police and the public together under positive circumstances.

A DJ, games and contests for kids, inflatables, food trucks, do the Cha-Cha Slide with some of Guilford's finest, and try to catch a custom "I Love Guilford" t-shirt launched from a t-shirt cannon. Also on hand will be the Guilford Fire Department with fire trucks for touch-a-truck.
