Guilford Crabbing Location Endangered by Mountains of Trash
The Shellfish Commission has stepped in to assure the area is presentable again.

GUILFORD, CT – A favorite crabbing spot off Route 146 had been left endangered by mountains of trash, according to the Guilford Courier.
The trash situation started when a good samaritan left a trash can in the area that was never emptied, according to the Guilford Courier. The Department of Transportation closed off the location after this.
Members of the Shellfish Commission are now paying a trash service to set up a bin and collect it on a regular basis, according to the Guilford Courier. The commission is also working to raise awareness about keeping the area clean.
