4) Rt 1 WEST – Charlie Steinberg is pursuing a TS 3 Zoning Amendment change, allowing 5 units per acre (up from 4 units – current regulation). P & Z seems to be in agreement, however, Rt 1 West Committee also requested an additional condition, requiring total building square footage to not exceed 5K sf per acre.

Steinberg is agreeable, 2nd Zoning Public Hearing to occur on Feb 18th. Property directly impacted is the former “Montana Farm House”, corner of Moose Hill and Rt 1. Former Residence will remain as a residence, but allowed uses being expanded to include a Jewish House of Worship and a teaching center.

5) Guilford Commons – nothing new to report.

6) Guilford Festival of Performing Arts – a new initiative, initiated by William Boughton of the New Haven Symphony, (Guilford Resident), creating a 3 day program of performing music, dance, theatre, to occur over October 13-15, 2017. This may become a biannual event and could be a positive contributor to the economic success of our local businesses (restaurants, retailers, hotels/motels, others).

7) CEDAS Registration - has been submitted for all EDC members. You should be seeing some “welcome information” soon, via email and possibly mail.
