The Republican candidates did not respond with the reason provided by campaign manager, Mary Beeman.

The GEA Executive Board Officers all agree that it is vitally important that our Board of Education members work with the teachers, parents, and community members for the benefit of all of our students and staff. Children deserve an honest and accurate education that enables them to learn about the past in order to help create a better future. We believe the five endorsed candidates will work together with us to ensure that we have the best teaching and learning environments in our schools to cultivate critical thinking and help all our students succeed and live fulfilling lives.”
