Family in government: I don’t have any family in politics but both my grandfather and mother were volunteer firefighters.

The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

The single most pressing issue facing Guilford is the threat to our incredible Board of Education this election cycle and I plan to do everything I can to support our slate of candidates and our colleagues in the Independent Party. Specific to the Board of Assessment Appeals, the drastic change in property values ahead of the reevaluation will pose a significant challenge to our community. I plan to work closely with my colleagues on the Board of Assessment Appeals, which has a strong bipartisan track record, and to balance the needs of the tax base and fair taxation.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

Not applicable in this cycle.

Accomplishments:

I have experience designing and implementing municipal budgets in Connecticut. I actively monitor real estate and economic trends. I’m also a proud graduate of UConn’s Master of Public Administration (MPA) program with a concentration in public financial management.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I strongly believe that everybody should pay their fair share in taxes. I don’t want to see businesses and residents overtaxed, and at the same time, and I want to protect our tax base from unwarranted appeals.
