The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Lack of affordable housing. I am currently the chair of the Housing for Economic Development Plan committee. We are in the midst of supervising a project of 20-30 affordable apartments in town center Guilford to add to our stock of affordable housing.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

My 30 years of managing a town department (library) and developing many operating budgets and capital plans, plus my experience with how town government works.

Accomplishments:

Managed a complete renovation/addition of a 34,000 square ft building and brought it in under budget. Organized a successful campaign to raise $1,000,000 for library expansion with no previous fundraising experience.

Other issues:

Support Guilford’s qualifications to be a gold participant in Sustainable CT. Continue to support our K-12 educational system. Continue supporting our fine parks and other recreational activities. Continue to assess thoughtful land acquisitions.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

I am grateful to be part of a group who are working to keep Guilford the great town that it is while being mindful of taxpayer expense.
