Guilford Health Dept. Recognized By Gov. For Contributions, Sacrifices
On Public Health Workers Day, Lamont praised health departments statewide for protecting the health, well-being of communities during COVID.

GUILFORD, CT —In recognition of National Public Health Workers Day, the Guilford Health Department was recognized by Gov. Ned Lamont for the contributions and sacrifices made by public health workforces throughout the state.
Lamont extended appreciation to employees and volunteers of health districts and departments throughout the state that rose to the occasion during the COVID-19 pandemic to protect the health and well-being of the community.
“Guilford is fortunate to have a team of dedicated employees in our Health Department that worked tirelessly during the COVID-19 pandemic to make sure our residents were well-informed and had the tools necessary to protect themselves and their families," First Selectman Matthew Hoey said.
