Guilford High School Grad, 20, Killed In Motorcycle Crash: State PD

Mohammad K. Halabi was driving his motorcycle on the Rt. 34 on-ramp to I-95N Monday at 2:30 p.m., when it struck a guardrail, police say.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 20-year-old Guilford man was killed when his motorcycle struck a guardrail as it traveled on the connector to Interstate 95 northbound Tuesday, according to a state police report.

Mohammad Kareem Halabi was driving on the Route 34 connector when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck the metal beam guardrail, a state police report reads.

Halabi was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Known as "Moe," he was a 2020 Guilford High School graduate and stand-out member of the school wrestling team, and he was a student at Gateway Community College studying business administration. His LinkedIn shows his high school activities included math, Arabic, gym, and he was a lunch volunteer.
