According to P&Z documents associated with the referral, the specific area of land on the Sullivan property is known as the Dudley Farm.
Guilford Environmental Planner Kevin Magee said in a memo to the Guilford Planning & Zoning Commission this week that the purchase is in line with the town's Plan of Conservation and Development and the goal of preserving Guilford's character, culture and scenic value, including farmlands and coastal views.
It's unclear yet if the Jan. 16 meeting will include a virtual component.
