Guilford Makes Decision On School For Wednesday

Another nor'easter is expected to have significant impacts on the area today.

Guilford Public Schools will be on the regular Early Dismissal schedule for Wednesday, March 21. Dismissal times are as follows: Guilford High School will dismiss at 12:10 p.m., Adams & Baldwin will dismiss at 12:51 p.m., and Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:47 p.m. “Breakfast will be served in all schools and lunch will be served at the elementary schools only. Guilford Before & After School Care will close at 2:45 p.m. and Suncatchers will close at 3 p.m. today. All after school and evening activities are cancelled today. The CT SAT School Day at Guilford High School will go on as scheduled today,” officials said.

A nor'easter is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to the area today. The snow should be at its heaviest this afternoon and evening before it tapers off around midnight.

This is the fourth straight nor'easter Connecticut has seen over the past month. Power outages are expected to be less of a concern this time because while winds may gust to 30-35 mph at times, it won't approach the strength of previous storms.
