Guilford Moves Ahead With Affordable Housing Proposal: Report

GUILFORD, CT — Town leaders are moving forward with plans to create more affordable housing opportunities in Guilford. Town officials have identified Woodruff or Drive Way property near the train station across from the Town Garage as a desirable site for affordable housing, the Guilford Courier reports.

Five developers are being interviewed by the town. The town-owned land is about nine acres and could accommodate between 15 to 20 housing units in five buildings, the Guilford Courier reports. Some of the units would likely include two or three bedrooms.

This is still in the proposal stage and various public votes would have to occur before this becomes a reality.
