Guilford Opens Renovated Water Street Parking Lot
The newly-renovated lot was made possible by a state grant.

GUILFORD, CT—The town has officially opened the newly-renovated Whitfield/Water Street parking lot.
A $446,000 state grant funded the renovations.
Parking spaces have be redesigned, new islands are plantings were added and lighting will match the green.

“I would like to thank Representative Scanlon for securing the grant which made this all possible,” said First Selectman Joseph Mazza. “A special thanks to the Public Works and Engineering Departments for their excellent work in executing the project, along with our contractor Laydon Industries."
St. George Church allowed its parking lot to be used as overflow during construction, Mazza said.
